Hi, I'm Sam.
I'm the guy behind goodcrowd. I have been performing since 2014 and producing my own shows from 2022. I produce shows in Adelaide, Perth, Edinburgh Fringe.
More recently I have been running weekly close-up shows at the "Adelaide Magic Theatre at The Lost Dice.
One of my biggest frustrations with producing small shows is visibility. I've used platforms like Eventbrite, Ticketek and Humanitix for selling tickets and they're fine for that, but they're clunky to navigate and bloated with corporate, sport, or commercial events. Other sites are music-only, hard to list on, or have a pay-to-play structure.
My goal with goodcrowd is to make it easy for people to find shows while helping independent organisers get the word out on theirs. Oh and it's also free...
I'm an artist first. This is a side project. If you have any questions or would like to see other features, please get in contact.
Thanks,
Sam
More original art gets made in Adelaide than most people realise. goodcrowd is where to find it.
The rules of the room
You see what's on by when it's on and what kind of thing it is. Nothing gets bumped because someone paid or an algorithm liked it.
Free to browse, free to list. We never touch ticketing money. You link to your own platform of choice.
Self-produced shows, collectives, small venues, small touring acts. That's what's here. Not major promoters, arenas or corporate gigs. Whether you're from Adelaide or Antwerp doesn't come into it; scale and backing is what matters.
